A resident has been hanging a bamboo pole out of her bedroom window in Woodlands despite being served three notices and a service card by the town council.

Stomper Irene said the situation at Block 683A Woodlands Drive 62 has been happening for "many months".

She shared photos of the "three-inch-long" bamboo pole – which had laundry hung on it – poking out from the seventh-floor bedroom window on multiple days in November

  		A spokesperson said: "Upon receiving reports of the item, our officers conducted multiple inspections and served a total of three notices on June 17, Nov 6 and Nov 19 for the removal of potential killer litter.

"A service card was also issued on Nov 6, during which our officer managed to speak with the resident. While the resident complied initially, the item was subsequently placed out again.

"The Housing & Development Board (HDB) had been informed of the matter as well, though their earlier inspection did not find the item present.

"During our most recent site visit on Nov 20, the item was not observed."

However, Irene said the neighbour had left her bamboo pole out again on Nov 21.
