I remain confident Portugal can still win the World Cup.
Portugal also won Euro 2016, drawing every game in the group stage and ultimately reaching the final and winning. I sincerely hope that last night's result against Congo will serve as a lesson and a lesson for Portugal to improve and become less reliant on CR7, but instead develop a more creative attack. Congo employs a 5-3-2 formation and sometimes uses a back six, hoping for counterattacks.
I find it interesting that Spain, as a major team, is currently in serious doubt after their 0-0 draw against Cape Verde. Previously, I saw outright odds of around 5.2, sometimes even 5.5, as high as 5.5, before the 2026 World Cup opening ceremony.

Yes, Portugal is coached by Martinez from spain.
But I didn't choose France, England, Argentina, or even the Netherlands as the outright winners.
I have a feeling Spain and Portugal are definitely making improvements and evaluating their futures.

Similarly, Portugal made 783 passes, compared to Congo's 249, with 75 percent possession compared to 25 percent possession.
